I have started this blog to document my trials and tribulations of my journey to live a simpler life for myself and my family. Simple living to me means increasing my self-sufficiency and living more off the land, and reducing my possessions and consumption by changing my perception of materialism, whilst at the same time reducing my waste and reusing or recycling my current belongings. Currently I grow my own produce with a view to be fully sustainable with food.

Along with simple living, my other passions are creativity and conservation. Creativity has been both my passion and my therapy throughout my life. It gives me freedom of imagination whilst exploring and experimenting with different materials. I make and sell household items by repurposing things which I already own or which have been donated to me. Conserving our environment is very important to me, so reducing waste going to landfill is my little contribution to reducing the impact I make on the environment.

Writing also allows me to place a little perspective on my life since being diagnosed with post-natal depression. It stops my thoughts from focusing on the make believe, and instead channelling into my real life existence.
